CARJ Liverpool updates
Instrumental music

CARJ Liverpool is now offering instrumental music to St Clare’s RC Primary School Liverpool from the September semester and has now recruited a Music Teacher for the project. The training will encourage children in learning and performance.

Drama Project

CARJ Liverpool has successfully completed a Drama project with monies awarded from the Austin Smith fund and match funded by CARJ Liverpool. With the help of ‘Collective Encounters’ an organisation working in the arts, the 5-week course was completed at St Hugh’s Roman Catholic Primary School. The project was deemed a great success and there are plans to repeat and expand the project. 14 boys and girls from years 3-6 from Britain (white), Yemen, Syria, Ethiopia, Czech Republic, India, Iraq, Sierra Leone and Jamaica attended the drama training.

Elephant Project

The Elephant Art project that CARJ embarked on last year has has now been completed by the 4 schools that signed up last year to design and install an art project of African Elephants. The schools include, St Vincent de Paul’s, St Clare’s, St Hugh’s and St Vincent’s School for the Blind. There was a final exhibition and display in July at the Education Building at Liverpool Hope University and a reception on Wednesday 4th July at 3.45pm.
