BBC to air ‘Rivers of Blood’ speech by Enoch Powell

On Saturday April 14th and for first time on UK radio, Enoch Powell’s Rivers of Blood speech will be read in full on BBC Radio 4 by actor Ian McDiarmid. The BBC has defended this controversial decision which some have criticised as an “incitement to racial hatred” and a ‘normalisation of racism’. The BBC said that there would be “rigorous journalistic analysis” and the show was not endorsing controversial views. More at
